Thanksgiving

Well it has been a while since my last post. Or so it seems.

On this day, it is common to think back on the last year and remember all of the things that i am thankful for. Not one of us can say that they don't have anything to be Thankful for. There are many things for each of us to reflect back on and be thankful for. So here are a few of mine.

- My Wife. She is the one that keeps me grounded. She is the one that gives me the ability to keep a rational head, when left in my own mind, i would say or do things that would have dire effects later on down the road. I am very Thankful to have her in my life. I am thankful for the children that she has given me. Kristy, I am thankful to G-d for bringing you into my life.

- My Kids. I am thankful to have each of you. You each are the reason why i do what i do. The reason i work hard everyday regardless if i want to or not. The reason i look forward to coming home everyday after work. I am thankful for who you are, and for who you will become.

- This country. I am thankful to live in a free country. I would argue that we are not as free as we once were. But we are free nonetheless. I am thankful to live in a country where i have the freedom to say what i feel, or live as i see fit, or have the ability to stand up for things that others do not agree with.

- My Friends. There are many of you. I am thankful for each of you. you each have helped mold me in one way or another to who i am today. To my Root Friends (and you know who you are) I am thankful for the friendship we have. I am thankful for you being there during the tough times. Helping us through the tough times. If i have never said it before, I am thankful for you. As for my good friends. I am thankful for the good times. I am thankful for the ability to laugh with you. You make my life more enjoyable. As for my long lost friends that i have found this year. I am thankful for each of you. I am thankful for your friendship in the past. I am thankful for the ability to catch back up with you after years. I am thankful that you are doing good and happy in life.

- My church family. I am thankful for a place where i can be me. I am thankful for people that will allow me to be me. I am thankful for a church family that will not judge a person by their outward appearance, but try to see a person on the inside.

- My family. I am thankful that on this day, both sides of the family can come together and spend time together. I am thankful for each and everyone of them in more ways than i put words to.

Well these are just a few of the things i am thankful for. I know i didn't even scratch the surface. But they are but a few. I pray each of the readers have a blessed and enjoyable day. Take time to reflect on the things you are thankful for.
